Workshop Series 

 

Ms. Bonnie Newman Davis and Dr. Linnie S. Carter designed and tailored this workshop series for Black women. The cost of each workshop has been discounted in light of the increasing unemployment and financial challenges among Black women.

 

The one-hour workshops will be authentic, educational, helpful, honest, interactive, interesting, safe and solution-oriented. To protect your privacy and safe space, the workshops will not be recorded.

From content selection to design tools, you’ll learn what to include, how to present it and where to showcase your work to maximize your visibility and influence.

Booked and Brilliant: Helping Black Women Turn Their Stories into Published Manuscripts

This workshop will guide Black women from “I’ve been meaning to write” to a concrete book plan and a first chapter started. We’ll cover clarifying your message, structuring your book and building a writing rhythm that fits a busy life. Participants will leave with a working outline, a writing schedule and the confidence that their stories deserve to be in print.

Crowned Doctor: Thriving, Not Just Surviving, on the Road to Your Doctorate

Designed for Black women navigating isolating and often biased academic spaces, this session blends practical dissertation tactics with emotional and spiritual survival strategies. We’ll cover topic refinement, time management and boundary setting. Also, we will discuss building a support squad that actually shows up for you. You will leave with tools to protect your mental health while earning that doctoral degree.

Pivot Like a Boss: Career Change Strategies for High-Achieving Black Women

This workshop will help Black women who are successful on paper but ready for something new – more aligned, better paid and less draining. We’ll clarify your next chapter, identify your transferable skills and reframe your story for a new role or industry. You will leave with a personal pivot statement, updated career direction and concrete next steps for the next 90 days.

CEO Energy: Launching a Profitable Company as a Black Woman on Your Own Terms

This workshop will help Black women move from “I have an idea” to “I have a real business.” We’ll choose a clear target audience, define a simple business model and design a strong signature offer. You will leave with a one-page business plan, possible prices to charge for your services and clarity on how your first clients will actually find and pay you.

Coaching Services Offered by Bonnie Newman Davis

 

Some Black women have expressed a desire for coaching sessions with Ms. Bonnie Newman Davis. The Black women being coached will ask questions, and Ms. Davis will provide guidance and responses. The coaching sessions will not include presentations.

 

Bonnie Newman Davis’ coaching sessions cover a range of topics, including navigating the social and cultural dynamics of the workplace, seeking advancement and promotions, salary negotiation and more. Additionally, she provides guidance for those pursuing consulting contracts, entrepreneurship, establishing a nonprofit organization or becoming an author.  As a serial entrepreneur, author, journalist and founder of a nonprofit, Bonnie Newman Davis is dedicated to empowering Black women to elevate their careers, share their unique stories, and succeed with confidence, free from fear, anxiety, or intimidation. She also provides valuable resources to support their journey.
